Digital Wave... from afar

"Mrs. Bartels, there's a 2% chance I might not be at Digital Wave this year." That was back in March.

As it happened, I attended only Monday of Digital Wave 2008, because it's Tuesday today and I write this sitting in a hotel room in Sunnyvale, California. Little did I know that the 2% chance of my lack-of-presence at Digital Wave would be because I was asked by Google to present my work at 3D Basecamp, Wednesday-Friday of this week.

So as I write this from the Digital Wave Satellite Campus, if we can call it that, I hope all is going and continues to go well back at school (with only a limited number of blackouts.) If you find a free moment, please check out my blog and see how it's going thus far.

My regards to everyone back at RCDS...

Ooo, I like the idea of the Digital Wave Satellite Campus being on the Google Campus! Think they'd host our main event next year ;-)

Am vicariously and thoroughly enjoying keeping up with your trip via your blog.

And may Rye, and hence RCDS, have reached the maximum number of power outages for the summer :-)

Cheers,
